Independence Day | Teaser.

Next week is 4th of July! The time where family and friends get together to celebrate our independence here in the States and wear red, white & blue. We of course eat tons of food and set things on fire :) So these next few days on the blog will be dedicated to patriotic themed outfits that can be worn to any of your events over the next two weekends.

Remember, you don't want look like a walking advertisement for the USofA, so jot down the styling tips that I'll be giving you for an effortless salute to the patriotic wardrobe!

Shoes Day | Jade's Closet.

Striped Lady | Outfit Post.

As I've perused pinterest I've seen a rather perfect nautical skirt floating around, this one to be exact! I couldn't help but fall in love with it's feminine sea bearing ways. I knew I'd probably never lay my pretty little hands on it seeing as how many pinterest clothing items either sell out or can never actually be found anywhere. Well, I live in Portland, and on of the many quirky things we're known for outside of great micro brews and beards are our thrift stores. I was lucky enough to find this baby inside my favorite local thrift store for $18.00! I have so many ways I plan to dress it up but today I went with a classic black tee and pair of nude heels bringing attention to the coveted striped lady, enjoy!

To kick off the blog: What does a designer do on their day off in Portland?! If it's sunny (practically never in Portland) one would find themselves on Sauvie's Island. Known for it's nude beach (yikes!), bountiful berries, and farmers galore, Mr. and I decided to go berry picking as it wasn't quit warm enough for splashing. My favorite photo from the weekend!
