Happy Monday loves!! In honor of American Heart Month beginning this Friday I wanted to start the lovely week with a heart sweater DIY. I am saving my pretty pennies for the wedding, so I buying a fun heart sweater was not an option. I went through my miscellaneous craft drawers and decided I had enough to make my own!!!
Here's your tutorial for a Do-It-Yourself heart sweater!!!
Step 1: Old Sweater
Step 2: I used some felt I had lying around and cut it into a the size I wanted for my hearts
Step 3: I didn't know how to achieve the look I wanted with the supplies I had, so I spray painted the felt and while it was freshly painted I sprinkled glitter on top... spray painting a little more to secure the glitter!
Step 4: Play around with the placing of your shape.
Step 5: Time to sew it on!!!
Step 6: Final Step!! I had to sew the heart while it was on my body to ensure it would curve with my curves.. (ehem). A girls gotta do what a girls gotta do!!!
Have fun and get crafting! How do you recycle left over craft supplies?!

This is such a cute idea! I wonder if there's any way to seal the glitter while in the wash?
