Portland Fashion Week night 2 was my favorite! Just check out the entrance to the Brady Lange show, I snapped the photo just as the model surprised everyone with glitter confetti!!

Portland Fashion Week: 1st Night

Portland Fashion Week Fall 2013 was full of local designers, boutiques and bloggers who all showed up in their best dressed outfits to celebrate our Portland fashion scene. We may not draw in the likes of Chanel or Marchesa (could you imagine Marchesa dropping in Portland?!) but there is something to be said about our local talent and supporting our community of artists and dreamers. 

I was asked to be a representative of the PFW Style Collective, a group of bloggers who got the most delightful VIP treatment for the weekend. Sitting front row was quite the experience, I captured (err, tried to capture in that light) my favorite looks from the runway that night. Photo above via Sam.

Sweater Weather: Portland

Fall has officially hit Portland, our move to England has been delayed a couple weeks, and my cold weather accessories are ready to be worn. Ps: This is a black and white crossword sweater, can you find the word RAIN?! It's Portland perfect!

What I Wore: Fall Outfit

Portland, Oregon was beginning to see Fall... and then it laughed in our faces and brought the blaring sun back! It was 97 degrees today (the band? no...) which is just too hot for this Portland girl. 

Can I get an amen?! (no? mmmk.)

I'm taking an easy transition into Fall with petite layers, keepin' it classy in high waisted shorts and a fitted blazer.

The Best Hat for Fall: Wide Brimmed Wool

The perfect Fall accessory; the wool felt wide brimmed floppy hat. I bought this beauty back in May while in Idaho for my mans graduation. Last time I posted it on the blog was here with my overalls, I love that  Ican actually wear it constantly now as the season is more appropriate.

PS: One week from today we move to England!! I've heard it's hat season year round there!

Goodbye Summer

The last summer evening in Portland, Oregon called for nude heels, shorts, and a tiger sweater....

Remember that one time on Instagram when I lied and said I'd post this outfit the following day? Yeah, well, I'm sorry. Friday has come and gone and Portland has turned from Summer into Fall in the last two weeks. Here is my last outfit of the Portland summer evenings we get for the next three years. We move in one week to England... oh, and did I mention we are moving during London Fashion Week?!!!

Moving to England

As of September, 2013...  Portland, Oregon to West Yorkshire, England.

I am now married, looking for a new job, moving to a new country, and defining/refining my style on a daily basis.
With huge change comes massive amounts of reflection and contemplative moments. Through these chaotic yet peaceful times of reflection I have rediscovered my gift for design and creativity through fashion. I look forward to sharing these creatives with you and the world as I begin a new career in England.
