Travel Blog: Montpellier, South of France

The first 2 days of our extended weekend in May were spent in Montpellier, France. A little hub known for it's romanticism and close proximity to the best wine regions in all of France (quite possibly the world). If you travel to Europe at any point in your life South of France should be on your list, and not just the touristy, celebrity spotting areas of Nice and Cannes, but the regions of South of France that boast the oldest winery vines in the world. Montpellier is a great (and inexpensive) city to fly into from all of Europe and is within driving distance (1-2 hrs) to Avignon and Chateau de Papa. If wine is not your fancy, the tapas inspired by near by Spain and the Mediterranean food will satisfy most taste-buds, if all else fails they have some pretty amazing crepes ;)
What do you think?! Will you be planning a trip to the south of France?! You can't check out all of the other wonderful places we visit in the new travel gallery!
