New Years Eve Sequins

New Years Eve and Sequin trousers are a match made in heaven. I first styled these casually here, then again for a business meeting here, and now I'm welcoming the new year with them!

Anthropologie Cape Coat

Christmas Eve in this beautiful wool cape form Anthropologie with the most perfect brass buttons  :)
Gold and black tights from Topshop. But let's be real, the temps were below freezing and this outfit was just not warm enough. I changed into warmer clothes for the evenings celebrations as the sun slowly drifted away. I hope everyone has had a lovely holiday break, who's ready for the New Year?! More importantly, what are you going to wear to welcome this new year of your life?!

Zara Shift Dress for the Win

The Zara sale had everything I wanted. Killer high heels, printed shift dresses, jumpsuits, skinny trousers. It was a dream. I picked up this number because I loved the print of the fabric and the crushed velvet bib around the neckline; which also had tassels hanging down to be tied into a bow.

NYE sequin skirt

(After I trimmed my hair (myself) for the first time in a year and a half, glossy locks!)
In preparation of 2015, which is just a few days away, I shall dance in the street in a comfy, yet festive outfit. Because that's what you do when you've been inside working for far too long.

Christmas Season in London + Harrods Christmas Window Display

My in laws gave us the gift of London during Christmas, and I couldn't be more excited! We hopped on a train from Leeds, and arrived to Kings Cross just in time to watch the sunset over the city. Between Christmas markets, hot chocolate, ice skating under the lights of the London Eye, shopping in Harrods and such, we had the most fabulous time! Wishing you and yours and wonderful Christmas and Holiday season. Merry Christmas and thank you for following this journey!

Christmas Card Station Chaos

I had a little too much fun with Christmas cards this season, including snowflake confetti and the gold wax we used to stamp our wedding invites. I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and Happy Holidays.

London at christmas time + my favorite faux fur coat. And this effortless outfit that I've been living in (in some version or another), hence the lack of outfit posts. Merry Christmas and a Happy Holidays everyone!

How to: Styling sequin trousers 101

Sequin trousers, some say tacky, some say cute. I say why the heck not! Sequin trousers appear every December both in High street like H&M and Topshop and in designer runways. They make a statement, and when in neutral "colors" (metallics?) they can create a great base to an outfit.
This week I will be showing you the 3 ways I've styled my sequin trousers since Thanksgiving, because yes, I wore them on Thanksgiving.

Sequin trousers look 1: Casual
Grab your leather jacket, favorite comfy sweatshirt, and a dark lip color to set about errands in a cool yet glitzy outfit. Pair with a more casual shoe for actual running around.
Follow the blog to see how I styled the rest of my outfits with sequin trousers!
